Colors and Lights of Lycia Cruise

A spectacular sailing journey along the Lycian Coast

Duration: 8 days / 7 nights
Period: From the 1st weekend of May to the end of October
Embarkation: Göcek or Fethiye (Saturday from 16:00)
Disembarkation: The following Saturday after breakfast (08:30)
Itinerary: Göcek or Fethiye → Kekova → Göcek / Fethiye


The Lycian Coast: In the footsteps of the Greeks, Romans and Byzantines.

Authentic and unique Turkish villages and historic sites appear throughout the journey, with remains buried in exuberant nature and sometimes even beneath the water.

Dream coves, superb villages and sea turtles accompany you along this unforgettable route.

The discovery of the small Turkish village of Kekova is a real favorite.

As an additional option, discover Kastelorizo, the island at the end of Greece. Sublime!

Distance Bodrum – Göcek approximately 125 km (travel time approx. 1h40 – taxi approx. €75)

Transfers can be organised if required and should be booked at the time of reservation.

Transfers are available for groups from 3 to 50 passengers (private driver, VIP mini-bus up to 15 passengers or coach for larger groups).

• The visit to the historical site of Patara, the birthplace of Apollo (private mini bus with driver, visit of the site and access to the beach).
• The discovery of the island of Kastelorizo, known as "the island at the end of Greece".


Additional Discoveries

Kastelorizo was the background setting for the Oscar-winning film Mediterraneo in 1991.

The island is known for its colourful amphitheatre port lined with beautiful historic houses typical of the Dodecanese.

Visitors can walk up to Kastello Rosso, a castle built by the Knights of Saint John on the red hill overlooking the harbour.

Another highlight is the Blue Grotto, an extraordinary Mediterranean cave where sunlight reflects through the water creating an intense blue colour.

Tour Plan

Day 1: Saturday

✈ Flight to Dalaman. Airport, reception by our concierge, transfer to the marina of Göcek or Fethiye. Check-in at 3:30 pm Departure at sea (sailing time 01:30), first swims and night in the bay of Gemiler near Oludeniz. Overnight in the cove and dinner on board.

Day 2: Sunday

Early departure towards the valley of butterflies and its superb bay, then towards Kas . Free visit of the city of Kas and its charming streets overlooking the port. (Sailing time = 3h30). Dinner on board and overnight in the port.

Day 3: Monday

From Kas to Camli Koy for breakfast and then to Kekova. (Navigation 2 hours approximately). Kekova Bay and so many beautiful coves, Sunken city and the discovery of this fantastic bay as well as Uçagiz Bay . Overnight in Salyengos Bay cove. Dinner on board.

Day 4: Tuesday

Kekova day of cove in cove, the sea caves of Tersane. (Navigation about 1h30 divided into many stops). Free visit on land of the village of Simena and the castle overlooking this string of islets with sumptuous waters. Love at first sight guaranteed ♥. Overnight in the cove and dinner on board

Day 5: Wednsday

From Simena to Kalkan (Sailing time 3h00). Possibility by going ashore and with an extra charge to visit the magnificent historical site of Patara ( with mini bus + paid entrance to the site ) and to discover its immense beach (swimming at the beach). Mini bus to Patara , the birthplace of Apollo. Dinner on board in the port.

Day 6: Thursday

From Kalkan to Gocek Bay. Early departure (Sailing time 3h30) Many swimming stops throughout your day. Bedri Rahmi, Yassica Island, Domuz Adasi, etc. Overnight in the cove and dinner on board.

Day 7: Friday

Sailing in Gocek Bay,Cleopatra Bay, (Sailing time 2h30). Different bays along your way for your last swims in Göcek Bay. Self-guided tour of the charming waterfront village. Dinner on board in the small port of Gocek or Fethiye.

Day 8: Saturday

✈ Transfers. Breakfast on board and disembarkation at 8:30 am. Transfer to airport

  • Kastelorizo, the background scene of the film Mediterraneo. Oscar-winning film in 1991, catapulting the island darkness from light to light across the world. Beauty, warm atmosphere and positive energy that radiated through the film.
  • The colorful amphitheater of the port. Lined with beautiful old houses, the small port of Kastelorizo welcomes you like an advertising poster of the classic architecture of the Dodecanese.
  • A small island with a big history. Free walk to Kastello Rosso, a castle erected by the Knights of Saint John on the red hill takes you back to the fourteenth century. Climb the giant staircase for a beautiful view of the harbor.
  • The Blue Grotto. Extra: Amazing Mediterranean Cave. Sunlight reflects back into the cave, coloring the water in a hue that cannot be described or captured with a camera.

Note

* Valley of the butterflies: When you get off the boat, you access a very beautiful beach, very quiet, with its small restaurants on the sand. You can start venturing on the path to the Valley of the Butterflies. Butterflies, goats, turtles and other animals are waiting for your walk.
